The PhD thesis To be Modern and Moral: Negotiation of Buddhism in the Everyday Lives of Ladakhi Buddhist Youth in India enquires into how Ladakhi Buddhist student migrants in New Delhi negotiate the pursuit of a modern education alongside a negotiation of Buddhism as a religious minority identification, a moral education, and way of life revealing new practices and understandings which position Ladakhi Buddhist youth as ideal modern citizens and moral cosmopolitans.
