From academic coach to copyediting
Elizabeth draws on her extensive anthropological research, academic writing and publishing experience to offer writing support for all phases of the academic writing process – from generating ideas in the pre-writing and research phase and providing feedback on early drafts, to offering editing support through in-depth feedback on writing style, structure and argument, in addition to proofreading and copy editing.
She has over fifteen years of experience with editing and copy editing academic texts. She has supported over 20 PhD students ranging from offering academic coaching throughout the entire PhD study, offering feedback on conference papers, early drafts of articles and dissertation chapters, to more thorough feedback on the style, structure, argumentation, flow and language of the dissertation.
She is the house copy editor for the Copenhagen Journal of Asian Studies, and provides writing support, including editing and proofreading, for academic articles, monographs, edited volumes, special issues, research applications and visual material.
She offers translation services for Danish-English translation projects. She is fluent in Danish and familiar with the common language issues when work is translated and Danish speakers write in English.
She also provides writing support for non-academic work, such as developing the story line for a works of fiction and providing writing coaching during the development phase of non-fiction work.
